Hi,

Was wondering what this 5 piece set of Smith Wesson knifes would bring? Original owner claimed this is the Rare store display for it as well which could not be purchased. All of the knives are in New Condition and looks near perfect to perfect condition and all have the original blue boxes and paperwork and sheath for each knife. Wants 1,500 for everything. Just wondering if it's worth that. Any info appreciated.

There were a lot of S&W knives and knife sets put out over many years.
I'm not an expert but bought a few knives of similar quality.
Personally I would offer $300 max. for the whole set and no more.
($50 each & $50 for case)

Appreciate the input guys. I thought it was really high as well and now I know. I am not even going to bother with making an offer lol:eek:

$1500.00 is high for the 5 knife set. If it were the 7 knife set, it would pretty close. $800.00 would be the most I would pay. These are very scarce in this condition.

You could buy a lot of good, well made knives for the $ 1,500. No way.

IIRC These were designed by Blackie Collins???
He passed a couple of years ago.... A member purchased the 7 knife set in Tulsa... I didn't ask how much he paid....

$1,500 is top retail right now, but they will go up as time passes. I don't know where you can buy a similar set for any less. Ed.

They are a functional work of Art. I have the survival and skinner. I use the skinner all the time. I bought it loose at a gun show and found a sheath I love at a knife show. Not original, but I bought the knife as an EDC when working on my property. It just has the right feel in my hands.
Trying to buy others of the S&W Survival series and American Series in the late 70's- 80's.
If you kno of ones, even loose without sheath, let me know.
