So I had taken the M&P to the range 3 times and shot Federal bulk box of 375 rounds each time with no issues. All 1125 rounds fired. I installed the JP 3.5 springs and now 1 out of 5 fired! The rest FTF. Any suggestions? Did i do something wrong? Or should I just try putting the original springs back in place?

In my opinion I would put the originals back in and try it again but I have never done the spring mod. so don't know. I would rather have a rifle that at least fires than one with a lighter trigger pull.

I would double check and make sure they are installed correctly.

Next time you are at the range, pull it all apart and put it back together with the JP springs, paying close attention and making sure its being put together correctly. Test it. See how it runs.

If there are still issues

Tear it down again, and put in the old springs, again, paying very close attention to correct installation. Test it, see how she runs.

Make you assesses after the tests

Good luck, hope you get it figured out. I have the JP springs on all of my rigs with out issue

Recently, a couple of months ago I called JP and told them I wanted a lighter trigger and the took my order for springs and shipped quickly. When I got them they were the 4.0, I had expected the 3.5, called them and one of their techs told me, the 3.5 was not recommended as it would causes misfires in the rimfire. It is intended for use in thew.223/5.56 centerfires only.

I changed out the JP springs and put the originals back in. Went to the range this morning and the had no FTF. My only problem was that I had to nudge the trigger forward after most of the shots. So the trigger is sticking.

I wouldn't dismiss the JP springs just yet , I would re-install them make sure the pins are set back in there correctly. The arms of the springs should rest in the grooves of the pins when installed correctly. I have JP yellow springs in both of mine. Work good.

I've got the 3.5 kit and bent the legs to further reduce weight.. make sure you didn't install the hammer spring backwards as funny as it sounds I've seen it done many times.. the trigger not resetting is caused by the trigger return spring. Bend the legs alittle more downward. And that will fix it..make sure you lube everything while your there
