interesting 67-1

found an oddball on another site,67-1 2.5 barrel and a really weird grip configuration,has a blue box with a type written label on one end that has sn and experimental on it,has the standard s&w label on other end with all info in blue ink and experimental written in red ink, could this be a lew horton or just someones way to make a fast buck from a rube? been trying to get poster to share pics but no luck so far,sn range puts it in 1980

Chances are high it is a model 67-1 with a 2.5" model 66 barrel installed and round-butted or something similar. As you guessed, a photo of the top strap and barrel joint will show this...good luck on getting this from the seller .
