While we all know about the "A Christmas Story " movie marathon at this time of year, Grit TV has something different.

They are showing Clint Eastwood westerns, starting today at 8am Eastern, with the one that started it all (and my personal favorite), "A Fistful of Dollars".

The lineup is the Spaghetti Western trilogy, Hang'em High, Pale Rider, and concludes with Two Mules for Sister Sara.

Merry Christmas!

Last night, our local PBS station broadcast "A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong", where an inept British theater troupe attempts to stage a live televised version of "A Christmas Carol". It's mostly slapstick British farce, and I enjoyed it as an alternative to the usual Christmastime movies. If you haven't seen it, it's worth watching at least once for the novelty of it, even if you're not in to slapstick British farce.

Recorded Pale Rider. Watched it today Gotta love the Preacher. Especially at the end.

Any Clint Eastwood movie is good.

1. Jim Carrey's A Christmas Carol Which is almost word for word right out of the book.

2. A Christmas Carol 1984 with George C. Scott.

3. I watched Die Hard a few days before and it's getting kind of old.

On Christmas Eve of 1994 I had a 3 day weekend soI left Fort Carson at around 1400 and drove to Omaha. I got there at about 2300. I remember it was so cold that night that the windows of my car were frosting up on the inside.

Just outside of North Platte I picked up the RKO Theater of the air version of A Christmas Carol with Lionel Barrymore as Scrooge. I listened to it twice on two different radio stations.

It's become a Christmas tradition since
