The author of that was very biased, but what else do I expect from NBC? I did laugh on the second page though:
Chattanooga retiree Ken Hasse, 71, said he worries about the possible consequences of allowing people to carry their guns in places like parks. "It's going to tempt somebody to use one," he said.

So this guy is saying that carrying a gun in a park is more dangerous then carrying a gun in the grocery store or bank? Why would someone be more tempted to use a gun in a park? They must search really hard to find people who will go on the record saying such things.

Actually, the bias reporter was the AP guy who wrote it. I've seen the same story word for word at 4 different news organizations. I think fox was one of them.

+1 on the not having to look far. I've got two idiot Senators who say and believe the same drivel, and more.

I found more than a couple of objectionable comments and half truths. They state CCW's can carry in bars here in Arizona but fail to mention you cannot consume alcohol while doing so. They also fail to mention the reason the law was changed; to keep law abiding citizens from having their guns stolen while dining. The actual statistics on those of us with a CCW bear out that we are responsible citizens and not the source of problems. States that have loosened CCW restrictions are doing just fine. Considering all of the recent doom and gloom predictions about the impending loss of gun rights the second amendment seems to holding its own.

yeah, These people are waiting for shootouts at the Long Branch and other half truths. They fear the wild west, but don't know the wild west was Kansas.
Most stupid stuff happens cause the large drunk thinks he can do anything to anyone. Sam Colt's equalizer is working to our benefit again.
