I came across this interesting promotional film by Remington going through their manufacturing processes.
Given the reference of one of their gunsmiths assembling 788s, 600s, and 660s on any given day, it dates the film and interviews to 1968.
In 1968 Remington was involved in the same cost cutting measures as Winchester, but did not get caught out nearly as bad.
And they were still light years better than Remington in its end stages.
