YouTube - Muela TORNADO 18 W

This is a "review" (I guess) of a Muela Tornado knife. If it looks familiar, I think that someone in the Muela factory in Spain saw a SOG SEAL 2000. I have one, and think it's a pretty good knife. But, although I like the accompanying music, what does this video really tell us about the knife?!

Actually, because the maker does give sharp views of the workmanship, it does some good. But most Internet knife "reviews" consist of some fellow on a vanity trip turning the knife in his hand, while telling us where he bought it, or other extraneous data. One of the few reviews for the Buck No. 120 General did point out that it is the knife used in the "Scream" movies. That's good to know. Glamour image...;)

What is wrong with these guys? What makes them qualified to "review" the knife if they know so little about the products?! Some video makers can't even pronounce the brand names correctly. I watched several Buck "reviews" last night in which none of the narrators knew that Buck handles are made of a phenolic resin. Buck has been publishing that for years!

Very seldom do I learn more from one of these videos than I could from a company brochure.

Am I missing some good ones?

I don't think I've ever looked at a You-Tube knife review, or any other open-access product evaluations, because, who cares about the personal opinion of people of unknown credentials and expertise (like many of us who opine about stuff here...). Just look at all the idiotic postings of firearms stuff on You-Tube --- you'd soon conclude that most shooters are brain-damaged troglodytes. (It may be the right conclusion, if the posters are indicative of the majority.) Yes, I know that there are many informative and illuminating You-Tube posts on firearms and etc., but may are just juvenile crap --- "drunk chick shoots .500 S&W Magnum" and the like. At least when you ask for recommendations on this forum, you're apt to hear from the voices of actual experience.

There's a guy on you tube that torture tests knives to destruction.

I have a SOG Seal knife I traded for. I find it too heavy and over rated. Now that Benchmade Nimravus I had... now that was a knife, but I have odd tastes.

Anyway, search for knife torture tests on you tube to see them hack up wood, get blowtorched, wrenched, and who knows what.
