I see the Internet Snubby Match elsewhere on the forum and think to myself that looks like great fun. Along come the Rastoff Challenges and they take off like wildfire. Clearly a number of us enjoy the competition.

I am of the Tupperware Generation. Nothing seems more normal or dare I say it right to me to have a polymer frame handgun as my primary weapon. Both EDC and at home.

Therefore I initiate the Internet Tupperware Match. Open to any and all polymer framed handguns in any caliber. Submit a photo of your target, include in the photo what you used to shoot it. Obviously on your honor to have done it as per the months challenge. I supplied a target that can be printed but any target is fine.

This months challenge stolen directly from the Snubbies. 5 shots at 5 yards. Winner gets a piece of maple sugar candy in the shape of a moose head. And bragging rights.

Sounds fine by me.
I'll try to done each, with my Shield, G26 and XDMc.

Here's my results with a XDs45 that I just bought. First time to the range. It looks like a keeper.
That Springer is the first Tupperware gun that I bought.

Well I'm gonna say that target sure makes it look like you got your money's worth on that purchase. :D

Can I use a rest or are you going to make us do this offhand? Kidding!! Just kidding!

A part of me is interested to see just what someone is going to do under the parameters of the challenge. This is a Tupperware challenge, so tacticool bling might even be expected. I didn't specifically exclude a rest so it's not verboten. But if you do, you have to say so. :D

I'm sorry, but even this will not provide the impetuous to buy such a piece of Tupperware.

While I have a Glock 17, bought on impulse, it will not be used for this event.

In addition, I wouldn't sully a S&W party, with the presence of a Glock.

So what can I do. Nothing, I must merely sit here and watch the match, realizing that many folks actually like such things.

Maybe I can submit a target, shot with an all stainless steel frame and slide.

The biggest reason for this match/challenge is to get people out to shoot and have fun while doing it. I intend to leave the which is better discussions for other threads. The targets will speak for themselves.

It's your choice but since you own a 17 why let it gather dust?

Modern Rifle can sit and watch all he wants; I'm out shooting which is a lot more fun. Here's my entry for this month; at 7/8 inch it's going to be easy to beat. I had plenty of opportunities to get a G 17L, but never did. The next one I see......... This G19, probably a 2d gen, is pretty old. I've had it at least 15 years, and shot it a good bit. The night sights have long since lost their glow; I'll have to see about getting them re-lamped. I've never considered the Glock trigger pull a disadvantage, but most of my shooting has been as fast as I can against torso sized targets, not trying to shoot one-hole targets; I could wish for a smoother and lighter trigger pull under these circumstances.

The load was 5.0 grs of Accurate Arms #5 powder behind the H&G #308 bullet, a 120 gr semi-conical bullet cast fairly soft and sized to .358". It's the most accurate one I've found in 9mm so far. I sure miss H&G; they had GREAT moulds.

Who said it was supposed to?

Too bad... You could show everyone how a good shooter could make even a Glock look good. ;)

In addition, I wouldn't sully a S&W party, with the presence of a Glock.
Again.. Too bad, since this IS the 'Other Brands' Sub-Forum and Glock IS another Brand.

Pitiful... Pit...Tee...Full. :(

Or... You could start your OWN thread, for a SS Frame Match. ;) :D

My 639 would qualify, but I don't know how well it would shoot. It's my only stainless auto; and a little too modern for me as I like Mauser broomhandles. Anyone want to try a broomhandle match?

Wow I knew some didn't like the "tupperware" guns, but it's just another tool IMHO. I've never owned one until last week. This Springfield XDs 45 was at the local store when I went in to look. They said that it was traded for a larger pistol. The price was rather low and it appeared to shot very little. It came with 5 mags and all the other stuff in the Essential Package. I couldn't pass it up. I've been interested in shooting one so now I can experiment all I want. It's a neat little .45 and I will shoot it right along with the 3rd Gens. I own.

So in other words you're giving false info to new shooters based on the fact that you like steel better? Guess I should use my 1911 to show the virtues of Glock based on nothing more then my preferences!

Anyway back to the contest.

You forgot this. :D
Looks like fun. Hope to get out this weekend and catch up on Rastoffs challenges, might be able to work this one in as well.

Funny.........

If I can do it this week I'll try - using a SIG SP-2022. I said I'd never own combat Tupperware yet there it is. I'm thinking of selling it but it is very accurate so I dunno.....I'd like to play!

SP2022

I'll be submitting a target shot with my G 22 on Friday or Saturday. I'm having cataract surgery on my second (dominant) eye tomorrow, and I figger by Saturday or Sunday it will be recovered enough for this challenge...:D

Meanwhile, for the Glock haters, here's something just for y'all...a Glock 23 (the 40 cal compact) at 230 yards on a 12" steel plate.

Hate away, people. It goes BANG when you pull the trigger and its an accurate gun, despite what the haters say.

I saw a bank clock mid afternoon that said 59 deg. Sunny, light wind, enough that I had to use push pins on all 4 corners of the targets. But believe me a beautiful day for sure. It's astonishing how much snow has disappeared in about 3 days. I could walk out to my berm at 100 yards and I set up a target and dialed in my M&P 15 for some warm up. 6 shots and I put one right on the bullseye so I locked down the scope.

I then went over to another area I have set up for handgun practice. Verified I was at 5 yards with a tape measure. Found a ton of brass from previous sessions when the lawn was green. :D
I have mostly practiced or shot the Isosceles 2 hand grip that seems to be favored these days but I have wanted to try Weaver. Spent some time last night watching youtube videos of the Weaver grip and stance to get an idea. These are the first 10 rounds with the 9mm today, no warm up. Weaver first, then Isosceles. The flyer on the Isosceles is my last shot. I do this pretty consistently and need to learn to calm down instead of rushing to the end.

Shot with my Steyr L9-A1 using some Sellier and Bellot 115 gr FMJ that I just got delivered last week.

I see it like Rock and Roll. Caused a lot of angst with the senior set but the Tupperware is here to stay.
