Irrigation sprinkler pump

My pump was on I shut it off by the breaker.I have been trying to prime today but not working.I turned off sprinkler unit..It it sucking air.? Your wise opinions please.Thanks in advance for some help.

Is it a submersible pump?

Could be the back flow valve...I think that's what it's called. It's the brass thing that will be on your well line right before going into your pump.

Or you may just have a crack in the inlet pipe.
