Is the original Centennial considered "striker fired"

No. Since it actually has a hammer, it's a DAO hammer fired gun.
A striker is a firing pin with an extra protrusion that is acted upon by the trigger actuated sear release mechanism.
There is no hammer present in a striker fired gun.

I wouldn't think so in the conventional sense where there is an absence of the hammer. The spring loaded firing pin (striker) is directly engaged by the trigger connector.

Found some pictures and now it makes sense
For example

Sometimes I truly amaze myself with what I don't know

Current misuse of the term "striker fired" to describe any DAO plastic pistol aggravates me. This is a striker fired pistol:

This is not:

If someone doesn't know why then they shouldn't use the term until they do. I am unaware of any striker fired revolvers offhand, although surely some exist in firearms history.
