is this a good method for lubing

Pan lubing works OK.
Liquid alox is faster and easier to do a large batch. Just get a plastic container like a margarine tub, fill it halfway with bullets, dribble (only a little!) hot liquid alox over them. Put the lid on, roll it around for a few seconds, then dump the bullets on wax paper. Repeat PRN.

I use conventional lubing now. I started off with Lee Liquid Alox and found it worked OK. Many use both to eliminate problems they have experienced. I tried pan lubing, and yes it works, but as shown in the video, it's not that easy. Not every bullet is lubed as noted.

There is a much cheaper way to lube them. White Label Lube, do a web search, has Liquid Xlox and it is much cheaper and works just as well as the Lee version.

I use a 1lb coffee can, they are plastic now, to do my tumble lubing.

Warm the lube up in the microwave for 10-30sec. before applying. You can also cut the Alox/Xlox with mineral spirits, up to 50/50, then you won't need to warm it up and it dries faster and harder but may require two coats.

This method works best and quickest for short runs over anything you can do, period.

I take a thin cookie sheet just deep enough to fill the lube grooves, melt my lube (canabua red) and set them in until cool, take a case larger then bullet and cookie cut them out

Alox works very well I can lube 100+slugs at a time. I have use it on my .44's and .45 colt for the past 5 years and have no lubing issues. However the only downside I can think of is during the bullet capping process my fingers get a little sticky. Much cheaper in the long run and fairly fast squirt it on and shake it up and spread out and let dry for 24hrs.
