WOOHOO! Not a single city from Arizona on the list. Even though I'm really surprised that Phil "Flash" Gordon, the mayor of Phoenix isn't on it.

He's now crying that Arizona has an "image problem" after the AR-15 incident during the president's speech and is demanding that the state legislature does something about it.

Seattle Mayor Defeated

Our mayor, Greg Nickels, is the current president of this organization. He was just defeated in a primary election [he came in 3rd in the primary]. The race was close with the top 3 candidates getting around 25%.

One factor that I believe motivated enough people to vote, and to vote for others, was the bizarre perseveration that Nickels has had against firearms carried legally. He decided, personally and against the advice of the State's Attorney General, that he would devise a plan to violate the State's preemption on firearm laws. I'm sure that the number of people motivated to vote for other candidates because of this made more than the difference in this race.

So, Nickels has another 9 mos in office. Unfortunately, he will probably feel he has nothing to lose by engaging in bad behavior.

New Hampshire has 0. One of the reasons I live here. (Admittedly, NH is largely still rural, with mostly small villages, and most don't have a "mayor").

I'm in (downstate) IL so of course my mayor is on the list. When he was questioned about it by a local news source he issued a press release along with a picture of himself duck hunting. He explains his support has nothing to do with law-abiding citizens....yadda yadda yadda.....

I told my mayor Jim Suttle of Omaha,Nebraska that since,he is a member of the Bloomberg anti-gun goonies squad,he will serve time in prison with Bloomberg and be charged with aiding and abetting in the straw purchasing sales.
