Greetings from a new member from Darrington WA!
I am searching for a 'memory' and you all know how hard that can be. I bought the 916A Stainless Riot shotgun from a pawnshop in AZ for $129.00 in 1976. Loved that gun, sweet shooter, taught my boys how to shoot a shotgun with it and it was always dependable. It shot 2 3/4 and 3" shells and was a 6+1 mag.
Cash got tight and I 'pawned' it to a friend for $60. Long story short, he wouldn't sell it back to me. Then he moved out of state and I never saw it again.
I have been looking for about a year, they are hard to find in the configuration I had.
SO, I've signed up to this forum in the hopes that the dream I have might come true.
Thanks for reading and Merry Christmas to you all!

Welcome to the Forum! You're looking for a needle in a haystack, as you are finding out! The 916A "riot" shotgun was marketed by S&W as for saltwater marine use with a "stainless " finish that would not rust if used on your boat. Production was probably very low which has made examples a rare bird. Keep your fingers crossed and maybe Santa will be nice this year! Good Luck, Ed.
