Issue with compensator on M&P 22

Forgive my ignorance. I purchased the M&P 22 a couple of weeks ago -- phenomenal gun. I decided to get a compensator which arrived today. In installing the connector on the ported barrel I was unable to disassemble the weapon without undoing the connector. Am I missing something or do you always have to strip off both the compensator and the connector to gun the weapon?

Your not missing anything, it's the nature of the beast. I have a thread adapter on mine for suppressor use and it has to come off every time I want to clean it.

A small price to pay for the pleasure derived from dropping rounds down range with this gun!!
