Issues with M and P Grip Pin

I had to qualify with my M and P service Weapon yesterday (.40 cal).

After each iteration I had to push the slide pin (on the bottom of the butt) back up.

I had an instructor look at it. It appears teh plastic piec, nibb, whatever you want to call it has eroded and the pin will not be well retained in place.

has anyone experienced this issue?

I've field stripped mine a hundred times or more and the frame tool (plastic piece) still fits tightly. Hopefully you got a bad frame tool and not a bad frame with an out of spec frame.
