I used to have a lovely little 6906 that was my pride and joy. I absolutely loved it...had lots of mags and holsters and things. Until post-divorce hard financial times forced it's sale [emoji22]
It was the last of my Smiths to go, and after that I was done.
It's taken some time, but I'm back! I picked up a sweet little 469 last Saturday. The finish is gone on the slide, and I only got one mag, but for $250 I was ok with that. The inside of the gun is pristine, and not like it was just cleaned really well, but it sure looks to me like it hasn't been fired much.
I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but the action feels really smooth. I've got mags on the way, and the jury is out as to whether or not I'm going to re-blue the slide. The grip panels are pretty slick, so I'm keeping my eye out for a Pachmayr grip. I'm also going put a Wolff spring kit in it.
In the words of Tony Stark in Ironman 2..."it's good to be back"!
