Italian Electric Airplane Fades. Here's why

I don't possess the frontal lobe that most here do but I did some crude ciphering and figure that the battery packs for an all electric C-17 would be so large and heavy that the available cargo payload would consist of a six pack of MREs, a compass and a AAA folding road map.

We are almost entirely electric in RC model airplanes now.
It's very convenient in this role and economically reasonable until scale grows beyond a certain point.
We can get 5-20 minutes of flight time.
This is usually plenty.
One can spend hours running drive system combinations through a calculator trying to find a few extra minutes. But that's okay. It's a model and our feet are on the ground.
In a C-17 ... Per my calculations, you're probably better off swapping the MREs for a roll of toilet paper and a change of underwear.
Things are bound to get hairy up there with the run time limitations
