There was only one difference between the two stores that mattered to me. Cabela's sold used guns. Bass Pro, at least the one in Tacoma, does not. Gun stores primarily exist to find new loving homes for old guns that are no longer loved. .22 LR cartridges, primers and powder can be found elsewhere. Bass Pro is worthless. Before Cabela's waiting time got intolerable during Obama's last years I bought a lot of used guns there. Cabela's horrid service ended by even going in the place.
If Brass Pro wants to draw my business back away from the local gun stores the only way is to sell used guns without taking too much time completing transactions. I'm sure I'm not the only former Cabela's customer saying that.
Funny thing back in late 80's all threw 90's I use to order terminal tackel and some rods and reels. Threw catalog When the shop opend up in Central Florida a few miles from home is when after two trips never ever agian. I found them rude and poor to no knowledge in tackel or firearms. In 80's threw late 90's I made extra income charter inshore saltwater flats trips and held a sixpack capatain chater license.I still have all the rods and reels I ordered all served me well and look pretty much new
