It's all coming together...

I got my state certification for my concelaed carry with my Ohio Peace Officer certification last December.

I purchased a Smith and Wesson M&P40 Shield a couple weeks ago

My Alien Gear holster has been ordered, and...

I have all of my paperwork ready to go, and have my appointment to get my concealed carry tomorrow morning!

Congrats! Just be careful with the ammo you choose for your Shield - there have been a few cases posted here where the guns have literally come apart with some of the really high power rounds. The pictures are unreal.

Next step (IMHO) is to get a copy of Ayoob's "In the Gravest Extreme" (I believe that is the right title) and read it several times. Be safe.

I use Winchester white box target ammo, Hornaday Critical Defense, and Winchester PDX1. I have read all of the threads about them coming apart, but I am going to shoot my Shield like it was meant to be shot. I am not worried about the what ifs or any of that, because you can't be afraid of your personal defense weapon.. because then it becomes useless.
