Spring pilgrimage to Walmart to stock up. Baby Backs at $2.5+/lb and they still have real live cashiers. Stop at Miller's Market in Hayward on way back. THEY NOW CARRY SCRAPPLE! Buy some scrapple, Lebanon sweet bologna, home made blueberry pie, roast beef sandwich, molasses cookies and bottle of real ginger ale.
Leave subtle hint about stocking real dried beef (aka chipped beef to some).
Go home after stuffing face and test the scrapple. It be real good and only has enough fat to cook unassisted in cast iron fry pan. Gives the old boy a grin. Now my nap buddie is getting impatient.
edited to show "dinner slices" of Lebanon sweet bologna. No reason to add any bread or toppings. Scrapple crisped up enough to pick up and eat like toast. No need to add anything, just the way i like it.
