L have what I believe is an Iver Johnson .32 cal. 5 shot revolver. The only markings found were " Made in U.S.A." on left side of barrel, serial # 86923 under grip on left side of frame, and the baklite grips have "US" logo instead of owl. It has a 2" barrel with straight grove rifeling and is also triggerless. Overall length is app. 5 1/2 inches. It is maybe in fair condition. I would like to know app. manufacture date and a value guess. Whatever information can be given me will be greatly apprecciated.

I'm not a "expert" although if you give me a few beers, I can fake it fairly well.
You (probably) have a U.S. Revolver co. revolver which was made by I.J. It was a cheaper model with less time and effort spent on "fit & finish". They often have a unfluted cyl. By "triggerless" do you mean the trigger is missing? Or did you mean "hammerless"?

In the case you ment "hammerless" and if it is in NRA "Fair" cond I would guess the value at $75 or less. (most of the referance books don't contain a lot of info about U.S. revolver co. guns.)

In any case they were made in the late 18-early 1900's and are a nice "Old time" collecteble, even if not worth a lot of cash.

Therevjan has it right; it's a US Revolver Company gun. US Revolver company was Iver Johnson's second quality line. They were not designed for smokeless powder.
