Looking for a holster for S&W 640 no dash .38 special. Leather, kydex, hybrid or leather lined kydex. Must have double clips, not single. Looking to stay below $80. +or-

I’ve done a lot of gun trading over the years. I plan on this 640 being my forever companion. So I hope to buy 2 holsters and be done. An IWB and a pocket holster.

Equal in every aspect for me has been Kramer horsehide holster, NOT a cheap solution but worth every penny.

Would also check out Lobogunleather......fabulous product and quite under-rated.

Don Hume has 22 products on sale for the S&W 640, and most of the options are well below your price point.

I like the H715-M WCS for IWB carry. I own several and recommend them for price and quality construction.

I’ve had Don Hume holsters before. Good quality for the price!

I have been looking for the Best Holster for Taurus PT111 G2 for a long time. I want the quality to match the price. I am now carefully selecting a holster. After all, my favorite gun will be in it. Where do you get your holsters?

Not sure what you mean by "double clips" - is that two separate clips, each connecting to a different location on the belt, or is it a single piece but "layered" clip at one location, putting clip material on both sides of the belt? The HH clip is a single piece but the bottom wraps back up around the bottom of the belt, so you won't pull the holster loose when pulling the gun.

I know you said you found a Foxx already but thought I'd share first impressions of the Harry's Holsters Icon that arrived today. I read about it on the forum(s) and thought I'd try it. I have no affiliation with HH other than I bought a holster.

My carry is also a 640 no dash, .38 spl only.

I haven't carried with it yet, just tried it for fit, but so far:

Pros
- carries comfortably for me at 4 oclock position, no pads needed (Harry's sells pads as an option)
- $50 plus $8 to ship
- gun clicks in/out of place by the holster grabbing the front of the trigger guard
- amount of retention is adjustable via a single screw
- gun won't simply fall out if you have retention properly adjusted
- no buttons or straps to manipulate - gun just pulls right out
- rigid holster doesn't collapse when gun is removed; can be reholstered one-handed
- looks like clip can be installed on left or right side, for left/right carry
- multiple pre-drilled holes allow some degree of adjustment for ride height & cant

Cons
(crickets)

It first my 640 ND (internal hammer) and my 60-7 (external hammer) just perfectly.

Some pics attached showing details of the clip and screw holes.

I'd be interested in hearing your impressions of the Foxx when you receive it. As someone else said, you can't have just one...

Can't figure out how to add another image after posting my reply - I just get directed to editing the existing ones.

So here's a pic of the Harry's Icon with the 640 inside.

I tried the double clip route and found it overkill for my snub. But I do prefer an offset clip like this one from Lobo leather. No issues with movement just use a good belt. The offset clip conceals Bette than a clip over the cylinder. I also have the same style for my heavier P2000 and again, no issues with support.
