Not sure what you mean by "double clips" - is that two separate clips, each connecting to a different location on the belt, or is it a single piece but "layered" clip at one location, putting clip material on both sides of the belt? The HH clip is a single piece but the bottom wraps back up around the bottom of the belt, so you won't pull the holster loose when pulling the gun.
I know you said you found a Foxx already but thought I'd share first impressions of the Harry's Holsters Icon that arrived today. I read about it on the forum(s) and thought I'd try it. I have no affiliation with HH other than I bought a holster.
My carry is also a 640 no dash, .38 spl only.
I haven't carried with it yet, just tried it for fit, but so far:
Pros
- carries comfortably for me at 4 oclock position, no pads needed (Harry's sells pads as an option)
- $50 plus $8 to ship
- gun clicks in/out of place by the holster grabbing the front of the trigger guard
- amount of retention is adjustable via a single screw
- gun won't simply fall out if you have retention properly adjusted
- no buttons or straps to manipulate - gun just pulls right out
- rigid holster doesn't collapse when gun is removed; can be reholstered one-handed
- looks like clip can be installed on left or right side, for left/right carry
- multiple pre-drilled holes allow some degree of adjustment for ride height & cant
Cons
(crickets)
It first my 640 ND (internal hammer) and my 60-7 (external hammer) just perfectly.
Some pics attached showing details of the clip and screw holes.
I'd be interested in hearing your impressions of the Foxx when you receive it. As someone else said, you can't have just one...
