I have used leather for IWB carry for many years but I am considering one of the Fobus kydex holsters. I won't have to worry about sweat but am concerned about the plastic causing abrasion aginst some of my scar tissue if I do not wear a tee shirt.Does anyone have expierence with kydex related to this issue?

I had a fobus holster. It holds the gun great but if you live in a warm climate it is like straping a zip lock bag to your side. I have a Dom Hume 715 for my S&W 99 and Uncle Mikes IWB for my Bersa an S&W 637 IWB and in the pocket . The Uncle Mikes are comfortable but the dont grip the gun as well.

+1 on the Don Hume. They make a great holster at a reasonable price. I wear one nearly every day. I always wear a t-shirt when I IWB. The added discomfort in hot weather is outweighed by the protection for my body and the gun.

I bought a Kholster about 4 months ago. I will probably never use a different IWB holster ever again. Similar to the Cossbreed, only at less than half the price and you will have it delivered to your doorstep in just a few days.

Fist ultra thin kydex is very easy on the body. I several for pistols and the revolver should be just a good. The ultra thin kydex gives some and is comfortable. I get the interchangeable attachments and adjustable cants.

You will always be cooler when wearing a t-shirt vs not, (not to mention looking much sharper) it just takes getting used to it, but once you do you will never go back.

Fist makes a great holster. If you ask, they can put Ultra Suede on the back side of the holster. It's the best thing I've ever found. Thin Kydex and soft suede next to the skin.

Kholster is a great product.

You can't beat a Milt Sparks holster, Versa Max or Summer Special. You must be patient. Order now for Christmas.

Can't speak specifically to the Fobus, but I have carried for several years in kydex from Blade-Tech and Comp-Tac. My simple solution is to always wear a t-shirt or "wife beater" under whatever shirt I use to cover the gun. Never a problem that wasn't the same I faced with many years of carrying IWB in leather.

+1 on the comp-tac minotaur holster.
They even sell different shells to attach to the leather backing for different guns.

Best Regards,

Just recieved a Kholster and love it. Great service too! Ordered on Tuesday recieved on Friday. Ask to see if Jimmy has any 2nds he wants to get rid of. He knocked another 15.00 off of my 1911.

I have carried a hand gun every day since 1980. Generally it was a M1911. The most comfortable, secure and fastest rig I have found is the Milt Sparks Versa Max followed by his rough out summer special. The outrageous wait time is the only draw back but that is the price of his success.

If you get out of the Kydex mindset, take a look at High Noon, they've got a huge selection of IWB, very nice stuff including some that you can actually tuck your shirt in over and not even tell your packin. www.highnoonholsters.com
