IWB holsters

Another vote for the comfortable, conceable, and quick-to-use MTAC.

If you want all-leather, the Tucker Texas Heritage is better than many other highly-touted holsters, as are the HBE COM models. The latter may be the most comfortable leather on the market. I haven't worn Alessi hip holsters, but his shoulder rig is remarkably effective, as is the Tauris shoulder holster. Both Tauris and Alessi have been well-reviewed for all their leather.

a very cheap solution that I use and works fantastic with my M19 4" is a cheapo Uncle Mike's size2 IWB. I use it for appendix carry all day. Perfect for standing and walking but sucky for sitting of course. You would be amazed how easy it is to conceal appendix carry with just a t-shirt, it's fast, and you don't have to worry about the occasional "bump" from a friend or stranger in a crowd.

thanks for everyone's suggestions so far. All help/guidance is greatly appreciated.

The other day when I was at the local shop I picked up a DeSantis "The Insider" for cheap just to have something for the time being.

I plan to order one or two holsters and belts after Christmas, but for the time being the DeSantis will work I guess. Thanks for everyone's help. I will continue to review all the suggestions given. Thanks again.

I was strongly considering the velcro clips option on the MTAC but they told me they don't make one for the 3913. Anybody know a good comparable IWB that is made for the 3913?

Ahhhh... to be young again and comfortable with an IWB. Now at my age and the required "love handles". IWBs just dig in too much after more than a couple of hours. It's OWB for all day or night carry.Untucked T-shirt, not white, works in all but the hottest weather. then it's pocket carry or in dress pants, ankle holster.

I rarely carry tucked anymore.
Agreed. I started out trying to conceal with a tucked shirt. All it took was one botched practice draw with a tucked shirt for me to forget about it.

Now I untuck my shirts all the time. I have several shirts that are designed to be worn untucked and are very dressy, and in cooler weather sweatshirts, sweaters, vests, and sport coats make it easy to conceal.

In warm weather I ALWAYS carry tucked. Untucked shirts present an image of me that I find unacceptable. Cover garments are either too warm or look wildly out of character on me.

I specifically asked for a bunch of sweaters for Christmas as cover garments. Given the unreliable heat in my office, they both make good cover garments in the winter and make the office bearable.

Fast access to the gun always trumps fashion or appearance to me.

I belong to a demographic that knows how to dress casually and elegantly without needing to tuck in a shirt all the time.

In fact, where I am from, guayaberas are the mark of a casually well dressed gentleman.

Where I come from, if your shirt is out, you're probably hanging out on the corner, up to no good.

I'm FROM Chicago, not OF Chicago.

Times change. Fashions change. You will severely misjudge A LOT of people if how they wear their shirt a major indicator for you.

Guess I'm just too old but as far as "smartcarry" gezz!!! I'm not point'n no loaded gun at my "Johnson", Talked to my old partner still work,n as LEO in southern Ca. Tells me even some of the gangbangers are wis'n up an carry'n there glocks without one in the chamber when stuffed down there sweats. Seems they've noticed how easy it is for there homies to shoot there "stuff" when draw'n .

I highly recommend crossbreedholsters.com . I have purchased their Super Tuck Delux with horshide. Extremely comfortable using Smith model #4003.
Good Luck on your search. Alot of manufacturers out there. To recommend another, try Galco.com .

The MTAC is without a doubt the most comfortable and concealable holster that I have ever tried, and I've tried a bunch of them.

I have two MTAC's, one with C clips and one with standard clips. In my opinion, neither are very noticeable when tucked.

A good gun belt, not a department store belt, is as important as a good holster. They work together for support and comfort. One of my MTAC's is for my G26 & G19 Glocks and the other one is for my G21 & G30 Glocks. Even carrying the big G21 with 14 rounds of .45 is comfortable.
