Hi! I went to the Davis gun museum in Claremore, Ok., last week. It is 18 miles east of Tulsa ans about 2 miles from I-44.
The place is very nice, lots of parking, and room for an RV. ,about 40,000 sq. ft, clean place, clean restrooms, but a terrible gift shop. The gun collections are fantastic, extensive Colt, and S&W collections, and thousands of others. About 1200 beer steins, WWI and WWII military knives. Indian artifacts, even bb guns, and old western movie ads. Just a great place to visit, no charge, if you can't afford it, but a $5.00 donation is appreciated.
The amount of guns is overwhelming, I left and ate lunch, returning for another look; at the things I missed.
Total time was about 4 hours, but you can do it in 3 hours. If you get the chance to go, you will not be disappointed, except for the gift shop. I expected some type of Davis Gun Museum book for sale, none. There are t-shirts, ink pens and some kid toys.
It is really an amazing place. Mikey
