Do the JP trigger springs cause light strikes/misfires, if so, please share your experience and remedy to the cause.

Yes. They can contribute to light strikes. The solution is not to use them for 22LR.

I have not experienced light primer strikes while using the JP reduced power springs in my Mp15-22.

I've used quite a variety of ammo, also.

1 gun, 1 experience. Take it for what it's worth.

So, as you see one person that does not mention using these springs in their own 15-22 or even if the have a 15-22 says they can cause light strikes, and, one who has a 15-22 and has used these springs in their own 15-22 says they have had no issues creates the dilemma. A possibility, which is a given and a negative, would love to hear from additional JP trigger spring users.

The key is a reduced TRIGGER and SEAR springs, and a HEAVIER hammer spring. Sometimes sold as an enhanced reliability set. JP Enterprises AR-15 Enhanced ignition reliability spring kit with red hammer spring JPS3.5T Same issue with AR-platform firing 7.62x39 AK/SKS steel cased ammo. Hard military primers. Should still net about a pound or two less pull weight. Read the descriptions under the "more" links for the difference JP - Spring Kits Some real easy trigger clean up work done with like 1000 grit wet or dry silicon carbide sand paper and a piece of scrap glass or mirror to clean up surface imperfections on trigger parts can help too. NOT removing metal, just knocking the high spots down. Think of rough phosphate coating and then cleaning it up enough so you have a few shiny spots peaking through the phosphate where you took down the higher peaks. Some good YouTube videos. You see a Dremel, you run for the hills.

I bought the 3.5 lb. JP spring kit a couple years ago at a gunshow. Installed into my 15-22 that evening, feel of the trigger improved. Have not had any light strikes, rounds that would not light off on a second try did not even fire in a 22/45.

Which of the 2 kits? The Enhanced Reliability or Reduced Power? It makes a difference.

I have 2 15-22s. My experience is using just the JP reduced power spring kit.

NO! I have them installed for 4-5yrs now, NOT a single light strike. That being said, the difference in Factory springs and JP springs is negligible. They are the Yellow springs, I know there are different spring kits available.

I put the 3.5 pound set on my gun right after I bought the gun and just today put the 1,000th round through it since the change without a single light strike. I absolutely love the change it made to the gun.

That said, I absolutely love this gun, it's definitely my go-to. Ammo's cheap and I can hit just about anything at less than 100 yards, and believe me, I'm definitely NOT a marksman. 50 yards seems to be where it really shines though.
