Well, it was a very....*different* show.

I picked up some Norma .357 Magnum ammo, as well as some other vintage sundry items. The other guys found a couple of deals and we got to hang out at a friend's table for a bit to sit our stuff down.

After lunch yesterday, I traded up a T/C Hawken .45, and two very pretty Stevens 1929 shotguns. :D

I won't say what the other fellers got...I feel ashamed that I couldn't have done better. :o

There were several fellers walking around with cases of 7.62s39 for sale...buyers remorse perhaps? There were other vendors with more overpriced items than I remember from past shows, but there were deals to be had.

That's about it...so far...

Hi Andy, I was there yesterday. Traded a GP100 and a little boot for a model 63 in decent shape. Was looking for grips fpr a Colt Cobra, but no luck.

Glad you guys had a good time, Karnivore

One older gentleman in the small back room had quite a few nice, in the box, S&W's - most not NIB but well cared for. Almost came home with his 27-2 w/5" barrel. But, his prices were just a tad too high for my budget on new acquisitions these days.

Saw a model 18 on one table for less the $350. Finish a bit worn and was initially tempted. But passed on it mainly because it appeared that the cylinder was out of true due to some one sided bluing wear on the face of the cylinder.

Also saw a fairly decent 25-5 with ugly grips for sale. Owner insisted that the cylinder throats were proper size. Didn't have any practical way to check at the time. Was interested but at $750 without original grips, box or anything else, I felt it was quite overpriced.

All I came home with were a few targets. Still a pleasant way to spend a Saturday morning.

Did y'all see the engraved ones in the same back room?

I might be wrong, but something on that triple lock didn't look quite right at all.

I couldn't get over the prices for rough M&P's and 10's- $400-500!

Ok, I'll tell on a friend- he picked up a 1917 in fair shape, but I didn't like the way the stop notches were worn, so I passed on it- and when I met up with him for lunch, I found out he bought it...for more than the feller offered it to me! (I didn't tell him that though).

Did you see the prices on Primers, $40 per thousand! Most of the usual suspects were setup there and as usual the prices were 50% higher than what most people on this board post as being the going rate in there area. But I'll keep going anyway.

I didn't notice the primers, as I have enough right now and that is the wrong price. Neither could we have hauled them with so little room with luggage and the junk we bought.

The last show seemed to be much better than this one, but that's only because I got a deal or two. ;)
