Jeff Bridges- The Old Man

Did anyone catch the first two episodes? It seems to be well written, directed, and acted. It is leading and provocative. I am intrigued.
At 72, Jeff Bridges is appropriate for the role and does his usual fine job of acting.
I won't say much about the plot for those of you who have yet to see it.
One observation however, all I hear him say to his canine's is a one word command..."dog"...is this reminiscent of John Wayne in Hondo and Big Jake or is it my imagination?

I have the first two episodes on the DVR (no spoilers please) but looking forward to watching it. He was very good in Hell or High Water. Another old man movie.

To the point of dog commands. As a K9 handler I had my dog Heineken trained to attack with a simple knee to his shoulder. Surprised a lot a “tough” guys when a dog sitting quietly by my side suddenly when bad ***. Of course he was on leash, but the element of surprise was alway great. When they freaked out I just said “ I guess he doesn’t like your attitude”. .

I also have it recorded, but haven't watched yet. Maybe in the next day or two. But just what I've seen in the commercials had me go ahead and set the DVR to record it weekly. Looks good.

Jeff made a movie in the mid 1970's in Livingston MT and fell in love with a local girl. TO the best of my knowledge they are still married. There may be more to him than movies suggest.

For quite some time I've had "issues" with long drawn out fight scenes. Being in the same age bracket as Mr. Bridges, stamina becomes a big factor. He did do right well in depicting how one would feel the next day. Otherwise, it's being recorded.

When my Shepard proceeds me across the rainbow bridge, I just might get a Rotweiller.

I got around to watching the first 2 episodes today. They included a couple minutes of previews of coming episodes. Oh yeah, I'm hooked.
