I collect old ammo boxes and stuff. I have some empty primer bricks on the shelf for display. I was moving some and one rattled. Opened it up and found two hundred primers that I had left in there. At the price of primers today it may not be gold, but still a fortunate find.

I wrote about it here a little while back, but I found about 3K primers in an outbuilding I had forgotten about for maybe 10 years. I felt like I hit the jackpot. They still work OK.

You might have put those in there for a little weight, so the package would not blow around?

Nice find, even if just 200, but it is still 4 boxes of ammo, when loaded.

Just today I was checking my powder and ammo out.

Upland season is here and a friend is picking me up next Tuesday and..............

I only have two boxes of 12 Ga, 7 1/2's in 3 dram !!
1145fps does not work on long shots at Chuckar, so it will be loading
time, if we get into the birds.

I have a box of 1 1/8 & 1 1/4 oz. #6 lead for emergency.

its like finding 2 $20 bills.......

I recently used some 1950s or very early 1060s Rem small pistol primers I acquired somewhere, who knows. They all went bang and were equal to the modern CCI's I tested them against.

Good for you, nice find alright...

It may not be gold but I would say it's silver!
