Just got my checkered Classics from Culina

and I couldn't be happier with the fit, finish, looks and feel of the grips. Perfect in every respect. Please pay particular attention to the bottom picture which shows how they contour the top of the grip so it doesn't batter you thumb knuckle and the backstrap. They provide a nice broad area to soak up the recoil. Yup, I'm a happy man. Oh, and they are made from a wood called Ziricote.

Is the base of the stock not flared as much as the factory presentation stocks?

The contour is virtually identical to the original "Cokes". Subtle, but very effective.

John has been working on trying his hand at Cokes for a little while now. Those came out real nice.

As usual John knocks it out of the park. I have a pair of his "k frame cokes" on my model 48 (sorry no photos) and they are great.
