I Just got my Blued Model 36 from S+W after the Infamous Model 640 Barrel launcher incident.I changed the classic grips to a set of Ajax Stag Grips with the S+W medalions put on by Patrick Grashorn and added Tyler T Grips to give it that extra grip comfort.Pics to Follow. Mike ... After your ordeal, it's good to see you received your replacement. Enjoy shooting it, and post an inaugural range report as time permits.

I will have a very long range session with it and post a Range Report.Hopefully I will report that it shoots to point of aim, point of impact and THE BARREL IS INTACT AND NOT DOWNRANGE LOL......Mike

Is it just my computer or does everyone get the ad in the middle of Mike's post? It's in yellow highlights and advertises webshots.

I see it, too. Five separate links. Not sure if they are the links to "Pics to Follow" or something nasty, i.e. worm, virus, malicious program... I'm not clicking on them until Mike chimes back in.

Guys those are the links to my photos in webshots when you click on them. They are the pics of the new gun with the Tyler T grips and the Stag Grips.I was never successful being ablr to post pics directly......Mike

If this one blows up I'm selling my guns and taking up golf...lol, really glad you got your gun and I hope it turns into a favorite

Crusier RN,
Those stocks are really sweet! Especially like the left side one. Good luck with the replacement.

Man, I REALLY LIKE those grips. I had about the same on a M-37 that I converted to DAO and like a FOOL sold it (Gun and grips) to a buddy, with first first right of refusal.

Hope this one doesn't puke the barrel like the others.

Only change I would make is to get rid of the "Flag" element of the lock or add "The Plug", getting rid of most all of the lock elements.

The grips turned out to be a very lucky buy. They were discontinued AJAX Stag grips that were bought by Sportsman's Guide. They started @ 150 dollars but after using my discounts from using my Sportsman's Guide Credit Card and discount certificates it came to 80 dollars.Next I sent them to Patrick Grashorn who put in the S+W medallions and there you have it.I had to add the Tyler T Grips to make it really feel right.Next Saturday I am going to have a extended range session with it.If the barrel stays on it then we might have a winner
