F/S, D/B and KKG. Ladies first.
Yes Barb it does "click in". This type retains on the trigger guard and ejection port area's via molded in tension. There is adjustment on this generation of Kydex material however. You can add or remove retention via a hair dryer and wet wash cloth's (used as a heat sink) if you find retention too tight or loose. This one being used at my 3:15-3:30 position, also has retention caused by the leather backing being arched into conforming to the shape of the hip bearing on the inside of the slide. So the amount of "free" retention you sense when the holster is not yet "on" could be deceiving. What may feel like not enough while relaxed, turns into wouldn't want too much more, when cinched up with a belt. If by the "click" you meant was draw noisy? Yes, it's not as silent as all leather when presented fast. It also however, is NO where near as loud as the all Kydex stuff I've tried in the past. And this material and design actually allows the weapon to be pulled w/o noise when done slowly. Hope that covered the Lady's question? If not, give me a shout. Info below may apply as well Barb?
F/S & D/B,
A good solid holster, when used with an adequate belt. (What a surprise!) To the Lady, and all 3 of the gentlemen, EXTREMELY fast presentation! With my personal physiology KKG (snake hips, tall/thin, long waist) and again a good belt, it didn't hide badly at all. But as you know better than most, that's a matter of one's body shape/size/weight/age etc.? As well as the shape/size and exterior texture of the gun. I'm one that couldn't hide a Remington Derringer if carried in a paddle style holster so, YMMV? I too like the pancake that LGL produces, and his E mail is going into my address book, THANKS. His stuff is too good, not to avail myself of!
8 hour shift with it, no major malfunctions. Squeaky, but it's new?
