Not a fan of movie memorabilia but wanted to say welcome back and hope you are doing well. Did I just cause thread drift?

Heh heh,I couldnt pass these up as they are great images.Thread drift or no--thank you. Also, just found out the images are copyrighted,so nobody can post unless I get them sent to an email, then have that email forwarded to someone here.

I also collect historical images too.Saw some from a Doc made in fourty three-which was about the Battle of Stalingrad. From a doc called: The City That Stopped Hitler. This is of corse, about Stalingrad.:D

Would love one of Bob Newhart shooting his M1 Garand.

One of the new shots I got since original post,I THINK shows him when they were attacking toward the Dragons Teeth and ITHINK shows him firing? I will not know for sure till these show up next week. However,I picked up a few other including Clint eastwood in Where Eagles Dare--when he was firing his MP-fourty at atacking Germans when they were stillin that castle. Also scored a great shot of Van Johnson and the four Germans who came to parlay--in Battleground. And finally,a great shot of: Lloyd Nolan, Robert Taylor and Thomas Mitchell, manning a water-cooled thirty cal. machine gun in: Bataan. The final pair are from:The Scarlet coat.

These are all great shots and all were on sale. Sale at Jay Parrino's the Mint - eBay Store lasts for five more days if anyone is interested?

Also, each actor in this movie will have a number of shots with just him in it--sort of an Actors Portfolio of being in that movie. Its probably out there some where? Also, actors did all kinds of promo shots too--of scenes that were not in the movie itself. Im sure there are several of him doing these shots too. The onesI want the most of Newhart--are when he is in that jeep as well as when he was in the bunker doing his potato soup routine.

We Train with our Local & Regional Militia Platoons in same region where HIFH was filmed (Cottonwood California) (Most of it was shot on nearby "Private Ranch" but oldtimers remember the Cast & Crew hanging around all the Redding Ca. haunts of the day (& Night)

I hadnt realised it was filmed in Calif, I always thought it was filmed in Colorado. One thing I saw in one of the stills I bought, was a GI firing a German Mauser--the GI was in the background behind Fess Parker in that scene. Id have loved to have been around and been there--while it was being filmed.
