Thanks guys.

The guy selling it listed so poorly that I have no doubt that he lost a lot of interest over it.

He said "Good Condition" It's more like Excellent and he never posted any pics of it.

It was only because a buddy pestered him so much to text him pics that I finally got to see it.

So I jumped on it.

Wow, I am so jealous, now go shoot that fine revolver. Life is short so shoot lots.

That revolver looks super-nice. I totally agree with you about ditching the Pachs, too.

Beautiful revolver.

If you're going to shoot .357 ammo, keep the Pachmayrs for range practice and a nice set for carry or show.

Pachmayrs aren't works of art, but they sure are nice to shoot with.

The Pachs are already in the "Grips I hate box" I had an extra set of Ahrends that I put on it, but for serious shooting, Hogue will get the nod.

There's an era correct 2.5" M686 box on eBay if you're interested. Not mine. Just saw it a few minutes ago.

Congrats!! And I know how you're feeling... I just brought it's Brother home (also a 686-3) after the CA 10 waiting period was up, paid $650 for mine.

It also had a pair of funky Pach grips on it that I swapped for a pair of Ahrends I had on hand as soon as I got it home.

Range report. I just ran short of 300 rounds through it today.

What a sweet shooter. It will now go into the carry rotation with my 442.
