Just some 1911’s

I agree. :D

I fit in an extremely tiny place in a world of typical & expected on this subject! I am a guy who absolutely loves handguns, shoots a lot, owns a number of them and is passionate about handgunning in general.

It gets weird in that I truly love the 1911 design and I hardly own any of them. In a 5-inch Govt Model size .45, I own -ONE-. I have another in .45 but it's an AMT Long Slide. I have one in 9mm. I also have a couple Coonan pistols, which share some parts, and a GSG in .22LR, also not a true 1911.

I'm sure I'll add another one or two 1911's but for as much as I do like them, I'm not exceptionally drawn to them.

Grayfox, is that a Clark Long Slide in the middle? I'd love to have one.

The SW1911 Pro Series in 9mm has a distinct look, with it's slimmed slide and somewhat rare wavy serrations, it may not be the right look for 1911 purists but I find this to be an exceptionally attractive pistol. :D

I used to have 16 or 17, as the boys turned 21, they got one for a birthday present. Sold off a good size stack and still have 6. 2-1911A1 Governments, 2 Commanders, a 45 and a 38 Super, and 2 Para LDA's a 3.25 six shot, & a 4.25 14 shot.

I was up to 9 but now back to 3, 2 of the 9 were Springfields. I have one Series 70 and 2 Commanders from 70s. Thinking of keeping just one Commander. That's what I went after to begin with and it got out of hand. The white grips on the commander are not ivory and not plastic. They are bone or polished antler of some kind.
