Just watched Boston Blackie

I remember the show, but was so young that I don't recall the guns.

A very, very long time ago I used to listen to "Boston Blackie" on radio. And "Bulldog Drummond". And "Mr. Keene, Tracer Of Lost Persons" (which Bob & Ray parodied as "Mr. Trace, Keener Than Most Persons"). And lots of others, including the original "Dragnet" and "Gunsmoke".

I have 113 episodes of Boston Blackie in my iTunes collection.

In fact 803 episodes of different programs. "Good morning Mr. Boynton"

In fact we discussed Old Time Radio awhile back at the forum.
Anyone interested in downloading or listening to any programs, link listed below has lots of good stuff.

"After midnight with Boston Blackie", sounds good, never watched it, but I will search and if I find it, I will watch it.

Thanks for posting that, found it on you tube and watching it right now.

That's #5, from 1943. I don't have that one. Got 1-4, 6-8 and 10-14. I need 5 and 9 to have the entire set.

Kent Smith played Blackie on TV while Chester Morris portrayed him in the movies. I cringe every time Smith does the wrist flip to close the cylinder of his revolver. Those were the days.

you can listen to all those old radio shows on Sirius - Radio Classics, channel 82. When you have a long drive it definitely makes the time go faster. Yours Truly Johnny Dollar, Dragnet, Gunsmoke, Legends of the Texas Rangers, etc.

Watched a few on you tube. Have also enjoyed one of my favorite series, whirlybirds. Ramar of the jungle used to give my toy guns a workout.
