K-22 at the LGS.

And here it is after a couple of weeks in layaway purgatory. Not the greatest pictures, but it did clean up halfway decent with a little oil, a rag, and some elbow grease as predicted. I cleaned the charge holes with patches cut from a lead wipe-a-way cloth and cartridges slide in out like they were on ball bearings. Now, to get it to the range.

Well done. You got that at a great price.

Question on the front sight. Did someone paint it red or is that actually a red insert of sorts on the site?

Oh no. I did that with white/orange nail polish. One of the first things I do with most every gun I own that doesn't have a red insert. I need all the help I can get with that front sight.

Well CB, I'm glad to see a fellow Virginian get a nice K22. It's something every tru VA sportsman just really should have! How local was that LGS? Is it well known enough for me to have stopped by during one of my forays down that way from the wilds of Lynchburg?

It's right off I-95 at Mile Marker 86. You can see it from the interstate. Nothing to it.
