I have a little collection going of K-22's from the good old days. Not NIB examples but as good as a workin' man can come up with.

From the bottom - 1933, next up 1949 (that's still in the 40's!) Then 1952 (my favorite pre 18) and 1960.

More specifically, a collection of revolvers I've found due to friends that are members of this forum. THAT is what makes them, and this place special.

All very nice! I love the K-22's and that is a nice collection. BTW - I love finding a pristine example, BUT, there is something about a gun with some honest use that draws me to it again and again and again....:)

Thanks for sharing,

That's a nice collection of K-22s, most of them were bought to be used. For one thing, the K-22s shoot too well to be kept under glass. The 1933 example, wow, that's a coup.

I remember once in my younger, stupid days, I sold a K22 to a dealer at a gun show. Couldn't sleep that night and went back the next day and bought it back for $50 more than I sold it for and had to beg to get that.

They do tend to want to stick around. I still have that one and haven't sold a pre model marked K22 since.

Nice group GF. Enjoy them as they should be.

I can even do the 70's and 80's!

17-3 March of 1971 wrong grips but diamonds look SO GOOD!(Thanks Tim!)

i have a 1947 pre 17 that was cut to 4 inch some many years ago. this pistol has i dont know how many rounds down range. ive put several thousand through myself and it was WELL used but not abused when i got it. has anybody ever shot out a .22 barrel ?

I doubt it. I've got one that I'm sure has at least 250,000 rounds through it!

So, the truth finally starts leaking out eh GF?

I knew you had quite a collection going (I pay attention bud), but that '60 gun needs to come see me. (you know why;))

Way cool seeing all those beauties lined up. I need to go take an aspirin and lay down somewhere. Jelousy hurts.:(

I've got a 1948, 1957 and a couple of 1960's, but I've yet to find a pre-war K-22.

A K-22 from the 1930's is on my Holy Grail list.

Beautiful collection, GF! I love that pre-war model and hope to trip over one as nice someday

GF, that's a wonderful specimen collection of .22s thourgh the decades. Congratulations!

Subartender, most K-frame .22s are in demand and command high prices. The prewar first models go for more than a thousand in good shape, and almost as much in lesser grades. The postwar guns are not as pricey, but will still empty out a wallet quickly. Well preserved five- and four-screw third models often go for over $500, but much used and much loved guns with some finish challenges can be found in the 300-400 range. But as you can tell from some of the comments here, those who are lucky enough to have these guns tend to hang on to them.

I am blessed with four at the moment, a prewar First Model and three postwar Third Models from 1947, 1948 and 1953. Maybe some of them will get back onto the market when my heirs settle my estate a couple of decades down the road, but for the foreseeable future they are likely to remain among the unavailables.

Thanks for those great pics.

I have a 6" 1956 K-.22 that gets days at the range all by itself. They shoot well enough to make anybody look good, even me.

I think if I could find a Model 18, I would be done buying any more.......hmmm, on second thought.....:D
