I got some K and L frame target grips for my 681 and they don't fit. Slightly too tall. What's the matter here?

I ordered them from a friend that said they were k or l frame. I guess I'll have to mail them back to him and get the right ones. Sucks because I paid $80 for them.

If you can post another photo of just the backside of one of the stocks, I can confirm if they're K/L or N-frame stocks for you.

I'll get it in the morning. I just climbed into bed. Thanks again.

My guess is that they are N-frame stocks. Here are some photos of a K/L-frame gun with N-frame stocks on it.

If the stocks you bought are nicely figured, you should be able to sell them at a small profit as nicer checkered targets are bringing $100 or so these days.

I'm new to the internal workings of a revolver. Would you clarify how tight the hammer strut screw should be and what the hammer should feel like?

I tightened it more, but it didn't even go but about a half turn.
