I have just bought a new 6" Model 14-8 Classic and it is a great gun fit ,finish, and performer. Some how I just cant get it out of my head at how much I would like to have a gun this size that would be like a down sized Registered Magnum. Full checkering on all the top surfaces, have the rib stop short of the barrel by a 1/4", and add the cylinder chamfer. The only other addition besides a slik super tune would be a nice set of ivory Magna grips with the S&W insignia carved into them. Now is that asking for to much or what?

Great idea.

I would love one like you desciribe in Stainless, Hell I would love a model 27 with the half barrel lug in stainless.

I hate full lugs.

Actually sounds like a nice gun. I think a 5" bbl would be nice also. How does you're gun shoot being all CNC made. I'd like to see a .32 long made in the K frame also. Larry

It is absolutely one of the finest guns I've ever owned. As far as accuracy it hangs right in there with my $1700.00 Bowen Classic Arms custom tuned Ruger Blackhawk. I am approaching 1000 158gr.LRN rounds through it and have yet to pull the slightess trace of leading from it. I am definitely considering one of the Classic model 15's now. I have been in the tool and die trade for 39 years now and I can swear to the fact that CNC can and does produce better and more accurate product. I feel the same way for the MIM parts, it's just to bad they dont have the nice CCH look of the old parts.

S&W would sell a ton of those Model 15 Classics, if they would just chamber and heat treat them for .357 and call it a 19;) It already has the shrouded extractor rod and looks like a 19 anyway.........

With modern steel and technology, I think the K-frame .357 could definitely make a comeback.
