K frame target grip: question and value

Hi guys and gals,

I am looking at a 70's era K frame wearing a set of diamond targets, no "football" cut out. They look like the ones on my 1959 model 17.

I am thinking of buying the revolver and selling the grips to help defray the cost. I already have a set of appropriate targets.

Good idea? what would the value of the 50's era grips be?

Best thing is to look on eBay and see what similar grips in similar condition have been sold for.

They are an uncommon to scarce pair of grips. A pair recently brought $177 on ebay.

I bought a very nice set for 120.00 a year ago on GB.

The key to those type of grips without the football cutout is condition. Most are marked up from ejecting shells. If yours are not marked up someone will go 125.00+

I agree with the above price range. If very, very nice, they might reach $200 to the right person.

Non relieved diamond target stocks for K frames are $200+ in excellent condition, no questions whatsoever. Even more on FleaBay, albeit fees and paypal 'tax' eat up any additional sales price.
