K22 grip choice dilemma

Eh dont worry about it I'm just on the search to find something thats that nice for mine at about the usual price for the normal grips, and my main problem with the grips it came with was that there was no grip on the front of the stock grips, and the checkering felt like sand paper.

if I could find a pair that had more recessed checking and looked darker I would gladly put them on but I also want to see if the combat grips were all they were cracked up to be and could give me a good inbetween between the cokes and the standard grips.

and buying a pair thats unfinished may be just the ticket.

I hope I'm not out of line but if you can manage to save some up money why not have Keith Brown make you a set of his Ropers? It's an investment to be sure but take care of them and you'll always be able to recoup your money. Best of both worlds, they'll fit great and look spectacular. Plus you can switch them onto any K Frame you own.

Money's tight and thats about the cost of a 645/4506, a Walther PP .380, Walther Comercial P1 or a K38 and that's just way too much money for a pair of grips

and I plan on trading in some guns to get the money for those particular guns, although I need to get the beretta 85 back from the gunsmith before I can switch it for the walther PP and I'm still debating if I want to get rid of the colt series 80 for the 645/4506 or get rid of the two glocks, or use one of the glocks to get a replacement for the WW2 P38 with the p1 since I'm wondering if its even worth taking a chance again with it and the replacement slide for it and the lack of parts for a ww2 gun.

anyways you get the idea.

and the ones he's made that I've seen on ebay have been sitting on their forever, its only the real ones that have been selling for top dollar. So what that says to me is that there's only a select few that even know who Keith Brown is

plus my gun is one of the last pinned barrel ones with the recessed cylinders although its got a 6 inch barrel, not a 6 1/2 so its technically a Sudden Impact - onward gun plus if I do the finish myself it might turn out like the M1 Garand my brother used that same Bees wax on from the CMP years ago which has a very nice finish to it.

I have to agree, Keith's grips are beautiful, but that's way more money than I'd ever spend on a set of grips. Just my frugal nature.

My heart likes the magnas/adapter better. They just look cool.
What do you all think?

I would tend to agree ---- my 17 no dash!

Isnt tyler T grip undergoing alot of trouble nowadays? and wont that actually damage the grips by sticking that inbetween them?

So their pachmayr's? and what about the frame, is there any marks from having them on there for so long?

if not I think I may have found something worth replacing the gripper grips with.

Personaly I would be looking for a nice set of K Frame Target Grips,Otherwise I would go with the Magnas with out the grip adapter I know about the functionality of grip adapters but I do not care for the looks.
