I loved Caleb's recent thread on original Kearsarge grips. Each and every one of them are unique pieces of functional art. I would love to own a set or two of the originals, but in spite of looking, over the years I have never found any avaialble for sale. BUT, I have been lucky enough to acquire several sets of Keith Brown grips that were carved in the Kearsarge style. So I would dedicate this thread to "Keith's Kearsarges" and ask you to post photos of your sets, and the guns they reside on. I'll start it off with some photos of mine:

An early set that lives on an 8 3/4" Registered Magnum:

Next is a set that lives on an H&H Zenher oak-leaf pattern engraved Model 29:

... and lastly, a set of K-frame beauties on a December 1934 K-22 Outdoorsman:

I'm looking forward to seeing photos of your KB Kearsarges :)

OK RK, here you go.......I think the pictures will enlarge if you click on them. Sometime last year I bought this William Brown holster rig for my matched pair of 4.5” Reg Mags. It is carved in an oak leaf and acorn pattern. Well then along came this thread; a light came on and it occurred to me that I needed to put KB Kearsarge grips with the oak leaf pattern on the Reg Mags to complete the set. I quickly discovered that KB Kearsarge grips are apparently as rare as the original Kearsarge grips. Through the kind generosity of fellow Forum member Bower (thank you Rich) I have been able to acquire one set. Here they are on one of the Reg Mags with the holster rig. If anyone out there can give me a lead on another KB Kearsarge set for my other Reg Mag I would be most grateful. To my knowledge William Brown and Keith Brown are not related, but their products are definitely a match made in heaven!

Think I missed a hot lunch looking at these. The thought of having pictures while being made is fantastic. True works of excellence plus. Bump it all you want, Sir.

Holy Moly Terry,
Keith's Kearsage Grips look amazing on that rig! I don't want to hijack this thread, but as a fine leather lover, please tell me something about the rig.
Larry
