God l feel OLD! l was a bit wild after my grad and joined the Army. Thankfully she is a bit more tame by deciding to continue her education post-HS. She wants to study Marine Biology and has been accepted to a couple Schools already. One in-state and another located in Texas. She became fascinated with marine life as a kid after Dad took her to the aquarium in Charleston. Next we visited one in Chattanooga as well as the one in Atlanta. We are looking at scholarships because college is so EXPENSIVE. l do have some money saved from child support cks over the last twelve years. l know Dad has saved for. When asked about her college he has always been vague. He just says, "Don't worry, God will provide.''
The Kid's not worried, she just got her LICENSE. That's another expense!

Congratulations and good luck to her! If she got high marks in HS and did well on the SAT there's money out there. Beat the bushes. Lots of googling. Talk to her advisor at the school.
My son just graduated from college Friday. His GF is a marine biology major but is focusing on the policy aspect rather than the hard science. She says from her own research that's where the jobs are. Makes sense.

we started to put money away for our children's college education at the time of their birth..............both of them now have masters degrees and are successful...........the parents need to provide....NOBODY else will.....

Most branches of the military will pay for an education for anyone who serves their time honorably and wants to avail themselves of it. My wife got a masters degree via the Navy and that was with having five children (which is what kept her from having time for a Phd).

Not a hi jack, just an aside if anyone feels depressed about the costs of higher education.

There are all sorts of grants and financial aid available, she should talk to her counselor about that

God helps those who help themselves [emoji1]

I agree, nor should anyone else provide
.
Wife and I had two. We saved and they found some scholarships. They have four degrees between them and are both successful.
College is not a guarantee, but its immensely helpful.
