Had been looking at the reviews of these for some time now and just bought one today. It is a DCR (Delux Carry Revolver) version. It has a fiber optic front site, Kimber custom wood grips, and the stainless is polished a bit. Feels really good in the hand and I am pleasantly surprised that it is close in size to my S&W 642 5 shot .38 (and fits in my j-frame holsters) It is a few oz heavier but it will be welcome when firing .357m loads. It appears very well made.

I have the same model. 357 is no fun but manageable. Have about 500 rounds through mine. No problems. It's my daily carry.

HKS 10A speedloaders works well in the K6.

Glad to see it has been running good....and yes, I'm sure that 357 is very "noticeable" when firing. I hadn't planned on getting the DCR version so I had already ordered a set of Altamont Silverback boot grips in advanced (as the base version has the rubber) - I'll try them out also but suspect as they are also wood - will feel the same.

Been eyeing the Kimber to replace the 640 I carry now. Does it fit in the same holsters?? Like the one more shot over the 640. Hope more feedback is left here about the Kimber, Larry

I have a few nylon type IWB holsters that I use for my 642 that the K6s fits right into. I do not have any leather form fitted holsters for my 642, so I can't speak to that.

I have had one since they were introduced. I haven't carried any of my steel j-frames since, in fact I have sold a couple and given a pair to other family members.
I agree that depending on the maker, a well formed J-frame holster is just a bit too small. This pancake model is made for the Kimber and is very stiff and holds close to the body. Lots of holster makers for the K6s and I feel you would be better served to get one of those.

As I had not planned on buying the DCR version of the K6s, I had ordered a set of Altamont Silverback Checkered wood grips before actually having the gun. Received them yesterday and really like how the upper checkering feels in the web of the hand. Perfect fit and very nice quality.

I was ambivalent about the K6s, told myself my J frames would suffice, till the three inch barrel version came out. Don't have one yet, but if things break right,,,,,

LOVE the K6 and came close to buying one. But then I pulled out my 20 year old SP101 and realized that it has the same buttery double action feel as the K6 plus the option of single action. Can't justify buying it when I have the RUger

I shoot my Colt Cobra (2017), Ruger SP101 3-inch in 357, and S&W Model 60 no dash better in double action than a K6S with 3-inch barrel that I picked up. I was surprised. Used the same loadings of 38 Special in the comparison. 357 Magnum was no different, but only included the Ruger SP101 in comparison. I did not like the narrow and smooth wood grips on the model that I got (and have seen a YouTube video reviewer had the same problem), so want to switch them out to see if things improve for me.

My Smith&Wesson model 60 .357 has a hammer and therefore I cock it when investigating something that is not right.
I believe in a hammer when handling my revolvers.

A K6 is my main winter carry. I have about a thousand rounds through it, and shoot it better than any of my other snubnoses. Golden Saber .357 is perfectly comfortable, though I don't think I'd like anything stouter than that. I got the 2" version with tritium sights. One cool thing about it is that if I want to try different sights, I can, because they're a pinned front and a dovetailed rear.

I've read that Grant Cunningham was a consultant on the design, and it shows. The recessed chambers are kind of pointless, but it's nice to see that nonetheless. I guess the thing I like best about it is that the sights are easy to see-- it takes me too long to get the sights lined up on my 640, so I put a laser on it to help out.

I just got a K6S yesterday, found it on sale at a favorite LGS. It's the standard model with the rubber grips and black sights. The trigger pull is really smooth and feels like it's around 10 Lb. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, hopefully Monday. I tried it in a leather El Paso J frame pocket holster, but the trigger guard is a little longer in the front and it wouldn't go all the way in. I like the sights on it, they're pretty easy to line up. I'll probably put some orange paint on the front due to my 56 year old eyes not working as well as they used to. The rounded edges and hammerless rear end are nice for a pocket carry revolver. It fits into my front jeans pocket as easily as a 340 PD that has been riding there for a couple of years. A little heavier, but the Kimber may replace the 340 after I work with it for a while.

I found a De Santis Speed Scabbard for it on line, and it should be here next week. Does anybody have a good IWB holster suggestion for their K6S?

Congrats! I seldom pocket carry my K6s but I have a De Santis Nemesis for the j-frame that the K6s fits fine in.
