With the exception of the P229, all my carry guns have been FS. Not really a pain, but sometimes inconvenient. Began looking at inexpensive .45 compacts until...

22Three in Lebanon Ohio is a great gunshop. I've bought from them before, always with great results. They had the Kimber in 9mm, and I fell in love. The .45 retails for about $1330, and Wendy stated her husband Jeff would have to call Kimber to see if one could be shipped immediately, because I had a time frame (we travel in our TC). She said the price would be in the mid $1200s. Not only did Jeff manage to have one shipped - I'll have it next week - he offered me the price of of $1175.

Congrats on your newest! :)

Sounds like a great shop you go to.

Be sure to post photos and a range report. :D

Enjoy that little Kimber, Seraphim...it should serve you well.

I've happily carried a lightweight Commander for years and never had a desire for a 3" 1911, but when a friend offered a one year old CDP for less than half of what they sell for new. I couldn't pass it up. Figured if nothing else, I could flip it quick for a modest profit to fund the ongoing S&W habit.

That thought disappeared as soon as I had a chance to shoot it. 100% reliable with everything I've fed it and far more accurate than it has a right to be, this Kimber has found a permanent place among a home already crowded with 1911's. Hope you enjoy your's as much.
