Does anyone have any experience with KKM Barrels? Specifically in 9mm. And how do they compare with Apex barrels?
They are advertised as drop-in so that makes me wonder if they are a significant improvement over factory barrels.

I have a Glock 17L long slide with the KKM barrel.
It is extraordinarily accurate for a Glock.
In my hands, matches the groups from my 952-1.

No experience with Apex or other aftermarket barrels.

I have no experience with the KKM 9 mm barrels.

I DO have experience with KKM's .40 S&W-to-Sig 357 conversion barrels. Have them for Compact 2.0 pistols (3.5" barrel and 4" barrel). Both work fine and both were truly drop-in.

What makes you think any "drop in" barrel will make your stock M&P more accurate? KKM barrels are as good as S&W, but can't cure a "tolerance stacking" problem, if you have one.
I've watched some new competitors spend $$$ on aftermarket parts, for naught.

There is no way I would buy a drop in barrel . At least go with a Apex semi -fit like that's not hard at all to fit the hood of the barrel and it will improve accuracy greatly . The gun smith fit is amazingly accurate with 1" groups very possible or less even . Apex Videos show how easy it is to fit both the semi fit and gun smith fit barrels .

Remember to the 2.0 9mm and 40sw barrels have the same external measurements so conversion barrels are no longer needed .

KKM barrels may be better for glucks but Not for M&P's specially when you compare prices to apex .

I got a KKM barrel for my 5" 9mm M&P CORE because I wanted a threaded barrel and it was one of the only options available. It's been flawless, and I do believe it has improved the accuracy of the pistol, but I haven't rigorously tested that.

Unless you've got a 2.0 barrel or slide that's on the looser fitting end of factory tolerances, I have doubts that you'll see measurable improvement with a drop-in barrel, unless it by chance happens to like whatever ammo you shoot better than the stock barrel does.
