I know it's not a S&W but it means alot to me
My dad served and defended our great country for 27 yrs(Airborne/Ranger) and this was givin to him when we left Flordia Ranger Camp(Camp Rudder)i want to get it cleaned up and put on display with his Shadow Box which my mom gave me a few years ago, the shape it is in is due to my mom using it like a everyday knife:eek::mad:

What can i do or where can i send it, to get it cleaned up
i lost my dad 12 yrs ago and it would mean the world to me

Thanks Ed

Nice idea.

Check out bladeforums.com. Very active board and you can join for free.

Clean/polish it with Mothers Mag Polish and a soft cotton cloth, then put a couple coatings of Renaissance Wax on it.

If you send it out, you may find it "Refinished" rather than cleaned up. I would think leaving most of the little nicks & scrapes your father put in it are part of it's history.

A member of this forum was kind enough to offer his services to fix up this knife which was in rough shape, he did a damn fine job on it i think, not all the scratches could be polished out due to the lettering.
Once again i would to say THANKS to this Gentleman he goes by Marshal too Sweet on this forum
