Kroil for small engine seizure

That's a 68 model ,first year of side marker lights.
I used to pick up those with a plugged up PCV valve, smoked terribly and burned a quart of oil in 400 miles, for $400, 40k miles.
Clean the valve, run a wood rod through the hose and wash them out in gas, Pull the valve cover, clean up the sludge, adjust the valves and tune it up, oil consumption went to a quart in over 1500 miles. Had a 67 Dart with the 170 slant 6 that got 28 MPG on the highway. LOL brazed surf board racks to the drip rails so no one could steal them.
One time I was at a beach near Parris Island and there were 6 Marines with a Duster stuck in the sand halfway up the rear wheels. They were killing themselves trying to push the car forward. I suggested they just pick the rear end up and move it over a foot. Thought I was going to get beat up until they figured out the advice was spot on.

I inherited my Pap’s 70 Dart, slant 6, 4 door in 1974. That car ran forever. Once you adjusted the valves you couldn’t hear it run. Great motor, coupled to the Torque-flight transmission.

I remember a story in Eddie Rickenbacker's book where as a kid he was working in an engine shop. When the owner was away he started an engine without permission. It seized up and he checked the oil and it had none. He poured oil in, used a crowbar to movie the shaft and it started. Nobody was ever the wiser, except maybe the future owner wondering why his engine needed work so soon.

Went to car wash and when out noticed something gooey on front right fender. Would scrape off with finger nail but left a smudge. Remembered I had bottle of Kroil in shooting bag ( always) so squirted some on one of the rags and smudge sticky stuff came off. Left a nice shine too.

Pop bought a 74 Dart (looked like a Duster) Sport? Test drive from the dealership and the ear axle damn near locked up since it had NO fluid in it. They poured fluid in it and he drove it for years without even a drip of leakage. Paid $3k for it new with a manual transmission. No noise either.

WD-40 will do that also. About the only good use for it I ever found.
