K's and a lonely N

Very nice group of vintage revolvers! You're well on your way to having a fine collection. Do you have any idea in which direction your collecting is going? Continue with K-frames, or branch out into more N-frames, J-frames, etc.? My modest collection consists of mostly vintage N-frames with a smattering of K-frames and L-frames. Enjoy!

That 4" 14 caught my eye. Dayton Police Supply ordered 1040, mostly for Dayton PD, but they were earlier 14-2's, heavy barrel in the K623337-K624496 range. As you probably know the 14's were 6" guns and later in 8 3/8".

As I check my letter for K623995 it was in a shipment of 180 guns to DPS. My friends and I bought a few guns from them way back when.

I thought the 4" 14 looked more like a dash two because of that. Would you care to show the serial number? You can X the last two or three. I'm just curious, as I like model 14s.

Thanks for sharing your group. "Where do we go now?"

When I wrote...1040, mostly for the Dayton PD...I meant to say mainly for the Dayton PD. Dayton could never need over a thousand guns for their department. Why Dayton would want a 4" model 14 is beyond me but that's what they wanted and S&W obliged. The Dayton 14's are pretty popular with OGCA folks lie me.
